Sergeant Kenneth John Bowyer, son of William and Ivy Isabel Bowyer, of Battle, Sussex, served with 12th (Yorkshire) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy, during Op Overlord.
Sergeant Bowyer died on 12 June 1944, aged 27 years old. He is now buried at Ranville War Cemetery, Normandy.
