Private Kenneth I H Burgess

Private Kenneth Ivor Harry Burgess, son of Harry Albert and Hilda Burgess, of Worle, Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, served with 7th (Light Infantry) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy, during Op Overlord on 5-6 June 1944.

Private Burgess died on 6 June 1944, aged 23 years old. He is now buried at Benouville Churchyard, Benouville, near Caen, Normandy.
