Corporal Keith Cardy

Keith Cardy enlisted into the Royal Engineers at Norbury in September 1963 and was posted to 23 Amphibious Engineer Squadron RE in March 1964.

He volunteered for airborne forces in April 1965 and after becoming a military parachutist he was posted to 9 Independent Parachute Squadron RE.

Cpl Cardy served on four tours of Northern Ireland and took part in exercises in Kenya, Canada, Denmark, Hong Kong, Germany, Gibraltar and Cyprus 

He was discharged from the Regular Army in 1976 and later served in the Royal Engineers TA from 1985 to 1987.
