Joshua served with 3 Para from 12 March 2017 to 9 September 2020
He Passed Out with Bruneval Platoon number 797, in April 2018.
Josh took part on Op Toral 7 in Afghanistan, as a member of 4 Pln, B Coy, 3 Para. When he returned back to the UK he went to sniper training on the Sniper Operator Course. He passed this course and was awarded Top Recruit.
