Sergeant John Robert Mann, was the son of Sidney George Norman Mann and Ellen Mann, of Chiswick, Middlesex.
He served with The Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment) prior to joining 1st Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment, part of the Army Air Corps. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem during Op Market Garden.
He died on 23 September 1944, aged 22 years old, and is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
