Private John Lloyd was the son of Arthur and Eliza Lloyd, of Salford, Lancashire, and husband of Helen Lloyd, of Salford. He served with 6th (Royal Welch) Parachute Battalion, and took part in the Italian campaign in the Winter of 1943-4.
Private Lloyd died on 12 February 1944, aged 21 years old. He is now buried at Bari War Cemetery, Italy.
