Rifleman John Lenihan

Rifleman John Lenihan was the son of Cornelius and Elizabeth Lenihan, and husband of Margarete E Lenihan, of Weston-super-Mare, Somerset. He served with 1st (Airborne) Battalion, Royal Ulster Rifles and took part in the Rhine Crossing, during Op Varsity.

Rifleman Lenihan died on the first day, 24 March 1945, aged 25 years old. He is now buried at Venray War Cemetery, Limburg.
