Private James William Hope, husband of Margaret Hope, of Dawdon, Seaham, Co Durham, served with 3rd Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Private Hope died on 20 September 1944, aged 34 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
