Lance Corporal James Niven

Lance Corporal James Niven, son of J and Elizabeth Niven, of Chester, served with 12th (Yorks) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Rhine Crossing, during Op Varsity. He may have begun the March to the Baltic across Germany.

Lance Corporal Niven died on 8 April 1945. He is now buried at Hanover War Cemetery, Germany.
