Corporal James Mangan

James Mangan served with Airborne Forces as part of 225 Parachute Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps in the Second World War.

James transferred to Airborne service in 1943, completing Parachute Course 83 at RAF Ringway in late September 1943, and joined 225 Parachute Field Ambulance RAMC.

The following year, he took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy on 6 June 1944, during Op Overlord.

James Mangan currently lives in Canada, and plans to attend the 67th Anniversary commemorations of D-Day in Normandy in June 2011.
