Corporal James Barfoot

Corporal James Barfoot was the son of James A and Catherine Barfoot, of Oldham, Lancashire and husband of May Barfoot, also of Oldham. He served with 1st (Airborne) Battalion, Border Regiment. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

He died on 28 September 1944, aged 33 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
