Private Ian St. Clair Duff was born in 1923 to Samuel Duff and Christina E. St. Clair Duff of Stirling.
Private Duff volunteered for The Parachute Regiment and successfully completed his parachute training at Ringway on 11 April 1943. He was posted to the 5th (Scottish) Battalion, Parachute Regiment and took part in the Italian Campaign.
He died on 27 April 1944, aged 21. He is now buried at Cassino War Cemetery, Italy.
