Private Henry A Potts

Henry Alfred Potts was born in east London and lived in north London, he enlisted in the Royal West Kent Regiment and volunteered for airborne forces.

Private Potts successfully completed glider training and was posted to 2nd (Airborne) Battalion, Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry, and took part in Operation Varsity (Rhine Crossing).

Pte Potts was killed in action on 24 March 1945, age 22, and was given a field burial at Hamminkeln, Germany and was re-interred to Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, Germany, on 17 April 1947.
