Corporal Henry C Hall

Henry Charles Hall was the son of Robert Alfred and Emma Hall; husband of Daisy Elizabeth Hall, of Dagenham, Essex. He enlisted into the Royal Artillery and volunteered for airborne forces.

Corporal Hall successfully completed his glider training and was posted to 6th Airborne Division Workshops, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, and took part in Operation Overlord (Normandy).

Cpl Hall was killed in action on 20 June 1944, aged 37, and was given a field burial in Ecarde, France and was re-interred to Ranville War Cemetery, Calvados, France, on 13 August 1945.
