Private Harold Hardman

Private Harold Hardman, son of John T and Rose H Hardman, of Oldham, Lancashire. He served with The Royal Artillery before volunteering for the airborne forces. 

Harold was successfully jump trained at Karbrit. Then served with 11th Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Private Hardman died on 22 September 1944, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Grave ref: 19, B, 15. Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
