Graham James Talbot was the son of Blodwen Talbot, of Hafod, Swansea. He enlisted in The General Service Corps and volunteered for airborne forces.
Private Talbot successfully completed his parachute training at RAF Ringway on course number 109, on 27 March to 7 April 1944. His course report stated ‘Good trier, average performer, quiet type’. He was posted to D Company, 10th Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, and took part in Operation Market Garden (Arnhem).
Pte Talbot was killed in action on 21 September 1944, aged 20. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Groesbeek Memorial to the missing.
