Sergeant George Edmund Barnard was the son of Harry and Emily Barnard, of Brighton, and the husband of Rosalind Elizabeth Barnard, also of Brighton. He served with 2nd Parachute Battalion.
Sergeant Barnard died in the UK on 17 April 1945, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Brighton and Preston Cemetery, Sussex.
