George Derrick Roberts was the son of John Watt Roberts and Violet Ann Roberts and husband of Millicent Olive Roberts, of Yiewsley, Middlesex.
He enlisted into The Monmouthshire Regiment before volunteering for airborne forces.
Sergeant Roberts served with The 6th Airborne Armoured Reconnaissance Regiment RAC.
Sgt Roberts died 12 April 1945, aged 26 years old and is now buried in Hanover War Cemetery, Germany.
