Staff Sergeant Geoffrey R Briggs

Staff Sergeant Geoffrey Rennie Briggs was the son of Walter and Florence Eleanor Briggs, and husband of Ada Eliza Briggs, of Kenton, Middlesex. He served with B Squadron of 1st Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Staff Sergeant Briggs died on 23 September 1944, aged 21 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
