Private Frederick Walter Hopwood was the son of James and Emily Hopwood, and husband of Mabel Hopwood, of Mollington, Cheshire. He served with 3rd Parachute Battalion and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Private Hopwood died on 18 September 1944, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
