Sergeant Frank Housham

Sergeant Frank Housham, husband of M Housham, of Leeds, Yorkshire, served as a Section Commander with 7 Platoon, C Coy, 11th Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Records indicate he was killed when the aircraft he emplaned with to Arnhem was shot down.

Sergeant Housham died on 18 September 1944, aged 33 years old. He is now buried at Wageningen General Cemetery, at Wageningen, near Arnhem.
