Private Francis J Ford

Private Francis James Ford, son of Frank and Isabell Ford, of Craigentinny, Edinburgh, served with B Company HQ of 7th (Airborne) Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers equipped with Bren Gun No 2. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Private Ford died of wounds sustained during the Battle on 3 October 1944, aged 22 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
