Major Ernest V Ritson TD

Major Ernest Vivian Ritson was the son of Ernest and Florence Ritson, and husband of Claire Ritson, of Hampstead, London. He served with 156th Parachute Battalion and was twice awarded Mentions in Despatches. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Major Ritson died on 20 September 1944, aged 35 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
