Staff Sergeant Ernest Eric Clarke served with 1st Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment and took part in the glider insertion to the Battle of Arnhem.
He died on 22 September 1944, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
