Corporal Ernest A Cooke

Corporal Ernest Alfred Cooke, son of Mr and Mrs William Henry Cooke, of Crosemere, Shropshire, served with 11th Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Corporal Cooke died on 19 September 1944, aged 28 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
