Private Eric Borders

Private Eric Borders was the son of William Henry and Emily Borders, of Stockport, and the husband of Nellie Maud Borders, also of Stockport. He served with 14 Platoon, B Company, 1st Battalion Border Regiment (Airborne) and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Private Borders died on 20 September 1944, aged 27 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
