Private Eli Hyams

Private Eli Hyams was the son of William and Lilian Hyams, of Birmingham, and husband of Evelyn Lillian Hyams, of Small Heath, Birmingham. He served with 7th (Airborne) Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

He died on 26 September 1944, aged 29 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
