Captain Edward A Moy-Thomas

Edward Alfred Moy-Thomas, son of Alan and Gertrude Moy-Thomas, brother of James Moy-Thomas and husband of Wilma Moy-Thomas, of Highgate, Middlesex, served with the Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry.

He was subsequently attached as Staff Captain to H.Q. 1st Airlanding Bde and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Captain Moy-Thomas was Killed in Action on 20 September 1944, aged 34, he was buried in front of the Tafelberg Hotel.

On 20 August 1946 he was reinterned at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.

His brother Flight Lieutenant James Alan also died on service in 1944.
