Gunner Edward A Ballard

19 Mar 1928 - 19 Jun 1947

Edward Arthur Ballard was the son of Joseph George and Dorothy (Hall) Ballard, of Dartford,Kent, he enlisted in the Royal Artillery and volunteered for Airborne Forces.

Gunner Ballard successfully completed airborne training and was posted to 332 Independant Airborne Anti-Tank Battery, Royal Artillery.

Gnr Ballard was killed in action on 19 June 1947, aged 19, and is commemorated in Khayat Beach War Cemetery D. D. 15. Israel and Palestine (Including Gaza).
