Sergeant Duncan M Livingston

Duncan Mathieson Livingston was the son of Donald and Margaret Livingston, of East Kilbride, Lanarkshire. He enlisted in the Middlesex Regiment, and volunteered for airborne forces.

Sergeant Livingston successfully completed Glider Pilot training and was posted to D Squadron, The Glider Pilot Regiment, and took part in Operation Market Garden (Arnhem).

Sgt Livingston was killed in action on 19 September 1944, aged 26, and is commemorated on the Groesbeek Memorial to the missing.
