Private Donald Holding, son of William and Alice Holding, of Wolverhampton, served with 3rd Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.
Private Holding died on 25 September 1944, aged 23 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery, near Nijmegen.
