Derrick John Leggett, born in May 1923, initially joined Airborne Forces from the Royal Armoured Corps. He completed Parachute Course 86 at RAF Ringway in mid-October 1943, and was posted to 13th (Lancs) Parachute Battalion.
Derrick Leggett died in February 2000.
