Signalman David J V Wolfe

David John Vernon Wolfe enlisted into the Royal Corps of Signals and volunteered for Airborne forces.

Signalman Wolfe successfully completed glider training and was posted to 1st Airborne Division Signals, Royal Corps of Signals, and took part in Operation Market Garden (Arnhem).

Sigmn Wolfe was killed in action on 21 September 1944, aged 19, and was given a field burial in the area of Zonneheuval, Oosterbeek, and was re-interred to Arnhem Oosterbeek War Cemetery on 3 September 1945.
