Trooper David Giles

25 Sep 1944

Trooper David Giles, husband of Muriel Giles, of Crumpsall, Manchester, served with C Troop HQ, 1st Airborne Recce Squadron, Reconnaissance Corps. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Trooper Giles died on 25 September 1944, aged 32 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery, near Nijmegen.
