Sergeant Cyril Gell

Sergeant Cyril Gell, the fostered son of Mr and Mrs J E Fox, of Prestwich, Lancashire, served with 1st Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment. He took part in the glider insertion to the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

He died on 18 September 1944, aged 29 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
