Private Colin Carver of Harlow Essex, was educated at Netteswell Comprehensive School.
Colin joined the Parachute Regiment in February 1966 and completed 18 jumps before deploying to Aden in May 1967 with 1 PARA. He was attached to C Company.
He was killed at about 0800 on 1 June 1967, aged 22, on Observation Post 12 in Al Mansoura District, which was being overwhelmed by enemy fire. He was buried with full military honours at Parndon Wood Cemetery.
