Private Clifford Mazey

Clifford Mazey was the son of George and Alice Mazey, of Radford, Coventry. He enlisted in the General Service Corps and volunteered for Airborne forces.

Private Mazey successfully completed glider training and was posted to 2nd (Airborne) Battalion, Oxford and Buckingham Light Infantry, and took part in Operation Varsity (Rhine Crossing).

Pte Mazey was killed in action on 1 April 1945, aged 18, and is commemorated on the Groesbeek Memorial to the missing.
