Sergeant Claude Wilfred Harcourt was the son of Jack and Ethel May Harcourt, and husband of Moya Doreen Harcourt, of Leicester. He served with 12th (Yorks) Parachute Battalion and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy, during Op Overlord.
Sergeant Harcourt died on 12 June 1944, aged 30 years old. He is now buried at Ranville War Cemetery, Normandy.
