Sergeant Charles F Lowman

Sergeant Charles Frederick Lowman, son of Charles Frederick and Daisy Lowman, of Upton Park, Essex, served with 10th Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Sergeant Lowman was injured during the Battle and died of his wounds on 1 November 1944, aged 27 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery, near Arnhem.
