Driver Bruce M Eddington

Bruce Marcus Eddington was the son of William and Annie Eddington, of Edinburgh, he enlisted in the Royal Army Service Corps and volunteered for airborne forces.

Driver Eddington successfully completed glider training and was posted to 398 (Airborne) Composite Company, Royal Army Service Corps, and took part in Operation Overlord (Normandy Landings).

Dvr Eddington was killed in action on 7 June 1944, aged 18, and is commemorated on the Bayeux Memorial to the missing.
