Private Brian Jess Cox served in Headquarters Company, 3 PARA.
Pte Cox was killed during summer block leave in road traffic accident on 5 August 1960, aged 19 years. He was buried with full military honours.
On returning from leave the Battalion was shocked to learn of the death of Pte Cox. He was described as ‘a cheerful and tough member of the Battalion who was liked by all.’
