Colonel Bernard Cazenove

14 Jun 1947 -

Bernard Cazenove joined 10 PARA in March 1965 as a Private soldier in the Signals Platoon under Don Forbes. Later in the same year, having qualified as a parachutist in August , he went to RMA Sandhurst and was commissioned in the Coldstream Guards in 1967.

He served in London, Germany, Northern Ireland and New Zealand where he was ADC to the Governor General. He left the Regular Army in 1973 and rejoined 10 PARA as the officer commanding recruit training.

In 1978 he commanded 4 Company at the Duke of York's Headquarters. In 1983 he became second in command of 10 PARA and retired in 1989.

In 1999 he was appointed Honorary Colonel of 4 PARA on the amalgamation of 10 PARA . He was a trustee of the Airborne Forces Security Fund and the Parachute Regiment Charitable Funds, from December 2009 to October 2018.

Major Bernard Cazenove was in command of 4 Coy 10 PARA at Duke of Yorks, Chelsea. He was also in command of 4 Coy at the Colours Parade on 3 June 1983, when Prince Charles presented new Colours to the Regiment.
