Private Anthony W Verhoeff

Private Anthony William Verhoeff, son of Anthony and Alida Verhoeff, of Golders Green, Middlesex, served with 10th Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Private Verhoeff died on 18 September 1944, aged 19 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery, near Nijmegen.
