Andrew Richardson was born on 2 August 1925 to Andrew and Elizabeth Richardson of Middlesbrough, Yorkshire.
Private Richardson volunteered for The Parachute Regiment from the General Service Corps and attended Parachute Training Course B165 at RAF Ringway.
He was posted to 9th Battalion, The Parachute Regiment and served in Palestine.
Private Richardson was killed on active service in Palestine on 2 June 1946, aged 20. He is buried in Ramleh War Cemetery.
