Sergeant Allan J G Beaumont

Allan John George Beaumont was born on 15 February 1920. 

He enlisted into the army on 20 February 1939. After volunteering for airborne forces, he successfully completed parachute training course 19 at RAF Ringway. The course lasted from 20 July -27 July 1942 during which time Private Beaumont completed two descents from aircraft and two from a balloon cage. 

Upon completion of his training Pte Beaumont was posted to 1 Airlanding Brigade before being transferred to 1 SAS. He was also promoted up to the rank of Sergeant. 

During the war Sgt Beaumont saw action in North Africa, Italy, and North West Europe. 

Allan Beaumont sadly passed away on 18 April 2018.
