Private Alistair Bowie, son of Robert and Isabella Bowie, of Elgin, Morayshire, served with 1st Parachute Battalion. He took part in the North African campaign.
Private Bowie died on 17 March 1943, aged 21 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Medjez-el-Bab War Cemetery, Tunisia.
