Lieutenant Alexander K Crighton

Lieutenant Alexander Kirk Crighton, son of Alexander L and Agnes L Crighton, of Glasgow, served with King's Own Scottish Borderers. He was attached to 7th (Airborne) Battalion as Platoon Commander of 2 Mortar Platoon, Support Company to take part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

Lieutenant Crighton died on 20 September 1944, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
