Lieutenant Adrian Unsworth

Adrian served with 144 Parachute Field Ambulance initially as a driver [RCT) and rose through the ranks and  finished in 144 Para Squadron in the rank of Lieutenant as the MTO.

He completed and passed Pre Para selection as a driver in 144 PFA which was provided in Aldershot and overseen by 562 RCT Para Sqn as part of 44 Brigade

Adrian completed his Para course in RAF Abingdon in the 1970s his stick was under direction of PJI Sgt Daccus of the RAF. 

He attended RAF Brize Norton for refresher training and intro to the new 'chutes in late 90s early 2000

Adrian believes he did about 50 jumps during his service. 

He has  jumped onto Everleigh, Fox Covert, Sennybridge, Isle of Man, Jersey and at Arnhem on the the 5Oth  Anniversary. Where he briefly met the then Prince Charles at the Saturday evening reception for officers

Was a member of the Cardiff Detachment for 20 odd years from around 1973 until 2002 then joined Air Dispatch in RAF Lyneham as Troop Commander
