Captain Adrian M Logan

Adrian M Logan transferred into The Paras from the RAF in January 1981. After P Coy he spent 6 weeks with 1 PARA in Edinburgh, waiting for his jumps course. Adrian was successfully parachute jump trained on course '882 Basic' in October 1981.  He then joined 3 Para in Tidworth and was appointed OC 5 Platoon. Adrian was commissioned as a Lt. on 12 May 1981 (London Gazette) and eventually rose to the rank of Captain.

In March 1982 he started his Junior Staff and Command Course at Warminster only to be recalled after 1 week to join the Battalion on Operation Corporate. During the Falklands conflict Adrian was 2 i/c B Company and was wounded in the left wrist in the battle for Mount Longdon. He was casevacced back home via Montevideo.

The Battalion then moved to Aldershot and Adrian got married in the Garrison Church in October 1982. He then started the Junior Command and Staff Course again and completed it in December 1982.

In 1983 he remained as 2 i/c B Company. On 1 June 1984 (London Gazette) Adrian relinquished his commission and left the Army.

Adrian is currently Chairman of North East Somerset PRA.
