Private Alfred Cox

Private Alfred Cox was the son of Alfred and Marion Cox, and husband of Elizabeth Scot Cox, of Bridgeton, Glasgow. He served with the 7th (Airborne) Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.

He died of wounds on 2 November 1944, aged 27 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
